✈ History

The Princess Mother Memorial Park in Klong San District of Bangkok was built at His Majesty King Bhumibol Adulyadej's initiative in 1993 with the intention of renovation of old buildings in an area where H.R.H Princess Srinagarindra, the Princess Mother resided during her childhood. Learning from a survey team that in this area there was an old building which was similiar in character and location to "the house" of HRH, His Majesty the King made his wish to preserve the old building as a museum in commemoration of HRH the Princess Mother and develop its surrounding area as a public park for the communinity. In quick response, Mr. Daeng Nana and Mr. Lek Nana owner of the surrounding land, presented 4 rai (6400 m2) to his Majesty, the King.

By gracious Royal Command, the Chaipattana Foundation took over as owner of the land and a committee comprising people from various fields and representatives of government and private agencies was set up to implement the construction of the Princess Mother Memorial Park at His Majesty initiative as follows.
